About Vision Properties 1926
A Vision Rooted in Stewardship, Longevity, and Care
Vision Properties 1926 was created with a simple but intentional belief: where people work, heal, and serve others matters.
The property is not a traditional commercial development. It is a thoughtfully restored, multi-building campus designed to support wellness-, self-care-, and service-oriented businesses that value environment, longevity, and community impact. Every decision—from preservation to layout to tenant alignment—has been guided by purpose rather than volume.
Vision Properties 1926 is anchored in wellness, self-care, and intentional service, creating space for businesses that care for people—physically, mentally, and holistically.

The heart of the property is the original 1926 farmhouse. Heard family lived here after the Martin family who originally constructed the home. Here are some specs about the home:

On March 28, 2022, I purchased the original 1926 farmhouse. At the time, I already owned the neighboring commercial property, and my initial vision was purely practical: acquiring the land would allow for additional development and create space for other entrepreneurs to build their businesses.
I grew up in Forsyth County with two entrepreneurial parents and have spent more than a decade working in building, development, and design. From the beginning, the plan was straightforward—even difficult decisions were on the table. Restoring the farmhouse felt overwhelming, and demolition was a very real consideration.
But as I walked the property and began peeling back the layers, everything shifted. Beneath the carpet were original hardwood floors. Beneath the surface was history, character, and a feeling that couldn’t be ignored. What started as a land acquisition became a calling to preserve what already existed.
That discovery led to a new vision: restoring the 1926 farmhouse and thoughtfully reimagining the property as a place where history and modern purpose could coexist. Over time, circumstances, collaboration, and the right people helped shape what Vision Properties 1926 has become today.
I believe acquiring this property was part of a greater plan—an opportunity to honor a piece of local history while creating intentional, modern spaces where others can thrive. With a deep love of design, attention to detail, and respect for stewardship, this project has become a labor of love.
My family and I live locally, and I am deeply grateful to play a small part in preserving this space and guiding its next chapter.

Historical Facts About the Farmhouse
-

Solid Oak Hardwoods
When the home was acquired, it was covered in carpet. We had no idea, but beneath that carpet were solid oak hardwood floors that were being preserved and waiting for us to give them new life again.
-

Stacked Stone Foundation
Let us repeat that…stacked stone foundation with no mortar. That was (and is!) the foundation. We have added additional foundations but we love showing and talking about the original foundation that has withstood 100 years.
-

Original Fireplaces
One of our favorite pieces of history on the property are the original fireplaces in the front room and even in the kitchen. The charm that these bring to the house is irreplaceable and makes the home so cozy!

Going Upstairs
If you walked upstairs, you would be able to see the building codes and structures that were used in the early 1900s. It is to code, grandfathered in, but it is almost as if you are climbing a ladder to a time warp of memories.
Gold Found on the Property
Gold was found in the early 40s by Sally Collins, who dug it up by accident, and a current neighbor even has one of the pieces to hold on to in history.
Hoyt Heard plowed the field to the right of the home often. He didn’t know it, and later on, when they were planting the crops, she was chopping weeds next to a pine stump. The story goes when they put the money in. They put it in with an auger and put $500 worth of Gold coins in to hide during the Great Depression. The Martin family owned the land then and initially built the home in 1926. This is a picture of one of the actual Gold coins that is still owned by a neighbor on the peninsula.
